Welcome to Team-21
Notice
Being the only team ever to have won the World OSY400 Championships and dominated the UK for over ten years it is now time to hang up our racing boots.
We are still actively assisting teams in a consultancy capacity and are still building OSY400 hulls. Our prototype wooden hull as tested in Brodenbach Germany at the end of May 2011 showed its true potential by being second fastest by a mear 0.2 seconds in the free practice session (pictured below in white with red flashing).
We are able to produce wooden or vacuum bagged versions to suit weights and budgets.
If you have any further questions or queries please contact us info@team-21.co.uk we are always happy to help.

The wooden prototype hull just gets better now only 0.5 seconds off the all time OSY400 lap record at Oulton Broad.

If your looking to take part or already do and are looking for a really competitive hull then please take a look at the News and Events section or click on this link http://www.team-21.co.uk/post/Newace-III-Trials.aspx. Our wooden prototype hull soon to be manufactured in a composite form has huge success in its first major outing.

The Newace prototype hull has turned a few heads and lots of interest has been shown ready for its manufacture in the winter period.
Class of Boat
The boat that I compete in is known as an OSY (Outboard Stock Yamato) 400, this class is a hydroplane class; the boat has a flat Bottom and is about thirteen feet long. It rides just on the surface of the water with only its propeller in the water, The engine is a 400cc Yamato, Japanese made with 33hp, the top speed is just over 70mph. The engine is low compression that enhances reliability. This means it is a stock engine, which has to be kept standard to make competition closer and results more down to driver ability and skill.
